What are you most afraid of? Heights? Bridges? Flying? Becoming your parents?
In these two new spots by Arnold for Progressive, the insurer giant taps into what adults may fear most: turning into their moms or dads. The campaign features young adults making grown-up decisions, such as buying a home or a car, paying off a mortgage, and taking more responsibility in their lives.
When they do, however, they become more like their parents. “I refer to every child as ‘chief.’” “This hat was free. What am I supposed to do, not wear it?”
A voice-over promises that “Progressive can’t protect you from becoming your parents, but we can protect your home and auto.” Arnold created one 30-second spot and one 90-second spot that aired on TV just once during Thursday Night Football.
